The United States’ neighbor to the north might be better known for ice hockey, but Canada’s deep and proud basketball tradition is quite apparent in the country’s largest city. Toronto’s sizable and ethnically-diverse population has embraced the game not only with its loyal attendance at Raptors NBA games, but also through the support of a rich college circuit that has bred numerous prep stars. With this past NBA Draft’s selection of Andrew Bennett, and the projection of Andrew Wiggins (the Canadian LeBron) as next year’s number one pick, Canada is leaving it mark on basketball not just at home, but around the world.
