Mr. May

The Reggie Jackson of New York Yankees fame was nicknamed Mr. October for his heroic performances in the World Series.  The Reggie Jackson of the Oklahoma City Thunder was barely a blip on the NBA radar before he got his big chance in the Playoffs this past May.  He absolutely nailed it while averaging better than 15 points per contest after replacing the injured Russell Westbrook in the starting lineup.  From the center of the bench to center stage, Jackson proved that opportunities are often granted when least expected.  And like last week’s SLAM Feature Article subject- Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors- Jackson also showed that performing when it matters most is what history remembers best.  Yaron Weitzman authors this week’s article about Mr. May- Reggie Jackson.
